We’re pleased to announce that Harsch Investment Properties’ Pendleton Bank Building will be hosting the Crow’s Shadow Round-Up Gallery again. The gallery will feature a variety of works from their permanent collection, including prominent regional, contemporary Native American artists such as James Lavadour, Wendy Red Star, Rick Bartow, Pat Boas, Joe Feddersen, Edgar Heap of Birds, Truman Lowe, Lillian Pitt, Storm Tharp, and Marie Watt, among others.
The exhibit will also feature prints by students from Nixya’awii Community School produced during a yearlong printmaking class, taught at Crow’s Shadow Institute of the Arts (CSIA) by Master Printer, Frank Janzen. There is no admission charge to the gallery and food and drinks will be provided by local restaurants.
Crow’s Shadow Institute of the Arts is located on the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation in the foothills of Oregon’s Blue Mountains. Crow’s Shadow is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization formed in 1992 by local artists James Lavadour (Walla Walla) and Phillip Cash Cash (Cayuse and Nez Perce). Their mission is to provide a creative conduit for educational, social, and economic opportunities for Native Americans through artistic development.
Over the last 25 years Crow’s Shadow has evolved into a world-class studio focused on contemporary fine art printmaking.
